About UK Cheer Updates

🏆 Our Mission

UK Cheer Updates was created to provide accurate, up-to-date rankings for UK Allstar cheerleading teams throughout the season. Our aim is to make it easier for athletes, coaches and supporters to follow team performances across competitions in one place.

📊 How are the rankings calculated?

Each team earns Power Points based on their final placement at each competition they attend.

A team's Power Score is then calculated using both the total number of Power Points earned and the number of competitions attended. This is designed to reward strong performances while also recognising consistency throughout the season, without giving an unfair advantage to teams simply attending more competitions.

Teams are then ranked from highest to lowest Power Score.

🌍 The Summit & The Cheerleading Worlds

For divisions at The Summit and The Cheerleading Worlds, placements are adjusted using the percentage of teams beaten rather than placement alone.

For example, finishing 5th out of 50 teams is recognised as a much stronger result than finishing 5th out of 6 teams.

This provides a fairer representation of performances in large international divisions and allows those results to be compared more accurately with the rest of the season.

📝 Competition Results

Finding complete UK Allstar competition results can be challenging, as not all competition providers publish full results or division information.

As a result, there are currently competitions and team results that are missing from the database. Every effort is made to include as much verified data as possible, and the rankings become more accurate as additional results are added.

If you notice a missing or incorrect result, please use the Submit Results page. Every submission is reviewed before being added to the rankings.

While every effort is made to ensure the information is as accurate as possible, the rankings are based on the verified competition results currently available. As new or corrected results are received, rankings and Power Scores may change.
